• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

I don't know how this can happen? The hull is in a complete other place all of a sudden. Divided the hull to do a paintjob. Then I joined the parts again....FSDS 3.51

That happen'd to me a couple of times, in FSDS select "select all" from your edit menu, copy and paste the complete ship, then move the bright coloured object out the way then delete, you should see the duplicate appear behind, save that and export the normal way.
copy the FSDS project and save it somewhere safe before you try this, i dont want you coming after me if this dont work, :icon_lol:
cheers ian

I'll try it Ian. Thanks! I always backup before I do something like that.,

That did the job! Thanks so much Ian!

You can get Gmax to do this with the Unlimited Export. You have to have a quad-zillion polygons though to trigger the bug. :S

Cees,

do you have any parent/child relationships going on? If so, check the parent and that the axis are aligned to centre, if you've moved parts, their centres may have become mis lodged. Especially if you have animations assigned. Keyframe 0 might be fine, but the rest may not be, run through the ranges from 0-100/200 to check.

Other than that I'm lost.

That was my first thought too! But it wasn't so.....

I had to make a new hull. She's coming along nicely. Anchors, railling, additional texturing, there's stil a lot of work to do.

I wonder why the hull was causing this? It might be interesting to find out why this happened. We have a similar issue with FS2004 Unlimited Export program. Once in a while, we hit a similar plateau and suddenly its very hard to export. I found that adding some Spheres to the export would 'sometimes' fix the issue. We also found out that having a dual top end Hierarchy (exterior, main, then main hierarchies) solved things. But now the bug is back for two of us and nothing fixes it...

hmm...
