LHC Avelina Giveaway!

Lionheart

SOH-CM-2014
Hey all,

This is a 'spur of the moment' surprise 'give away' of the LHC Avelina to the first 7 people that request this.

There is one rule. You absolutely cannot share this, not at a torrent site, no mega uploads site, not to your best friend, etc. This is for you alone, you only.

The 'give away' is to introduce this plane to people and show them all the innovations and technologies that this new plane has. I think that its massive 'difference' to normal planes has scared people off, so I want to show it to a select 7 people, first come first serve, that will sware not to file share this and would 'honestly' like to try this plane out.

For those that do not know, the LHC Avelina is a 'custom design' of a possible futuristic General Aviation plane of tomorrow, what planes may look like in 8 years from now. The propulsion system is hybrid, a mix of a small turbine onboard APU unit and 'batteries' with the primary power to the prop being 2 high performance motors (electric) that run via power settings in that the second one 'kicks in' when you are above 50% throttle setting.

The Avionics are 'radical' Very very very radical. They 'appear' to look a little like steam gauges, but they are digital graphics, but with nice shading and all, like that of some sort of show car Infiniti automobile with a high graphics digital screen. The screen (primary) even has 7 wallpapers you can select from. The center 'informations Kiosk' screen is touch control (like an iPad) and you navigate through its systems by tapping icons, going to GPS, Radios, AC system, HSI nav page, etc, etc.

This is a wild 'trip' into the possibilities of the world of aviation of tomorrow. This isnt a cheap 'imaginary' plane that I threw together. This is 1 year of work, some intense gauge coding, TONS (and I mean tons) of conceptualization of how things would work, backup systems, emergency systems, warnings, tons of sound effects, etc, etc, etc. Its PACKED with stuff.

So...... Who would like to park a BMW like vehicle in their hanger, or rather, put in some flight time in the year 2019 in a 250 knot private plane? 7 People, right now. You must provide your first and last name (real names) and a viable email address where the link will be sent. After 7 people, the give away is over.

If you are 'not' interested in such a plane, please do not apply for it. Let the ones that want to check out such a plane with an 'automotive' like interior have a chance for it. If you think you already do not like it, just look away, you probably will not like it any more after you fly it. This is for those that want to see what a wild plane would be like to fly that has a car like dash board and totally different instrumentation.

NOTE: You can ask to get it in FS2004 format if you prefer, its in both formats, but only one available.

This has a downloadable PDF manual. The manual is in rich color with a black background edge, so it is not printer friendly, but it has nice screenshots in it which will help memorization quite a bit. The manual is also a free download from the Avelina webpage; www.lionheartcreations.com/Avelina

Good luck to you all that want one of these. I hope you get it.

Instant message me right now, and if you want this in FS2004 format, tell me. I need a first and last name and email address. Make sure you write the email address perfect as that is where the link will be sent.

You 'can' post your name and email here as well. For those that like some privacy, IM me 'now'.

Some neat little features. The screens have a dimmer switch with 3 levels of dimming available. At night, its just a bit bright, so you can tone it down a bit.

Cool feature two; there is a slide up semi transparent plexi plate that will give readouts of airspeed or altitude, temp outside, chronograph, etc.

Cool feature three; a popup aux gauge pod for emergency zero power instances. It will auto-retract up when power goes out. You can raise it if you want to fly on the steam gauges...

I've liked several of your latest creations Bill, although the Avelina is not something I would purchase for my flightsim enjoyment. The WT-9 Dynamic I've considered but never committed too either.
I have purchased earlier models which will someday be paint subjects. :medals:

What a splendid and generous gesture. I'm downloading now and very excited to read the manual and give this a go. Thanks, Lionheart.

Many thanks to Bill for his tremendous generosity. I'm one of the lucky ones and am downloading as I type. It will be tomorrow before I get the opportunity to examine this beauty. Thanks again.

Hey guys, most welcome. One slot left still.

I can answer any questions on this aircraft that you might have. There are TONS of things built into this package, but mainly, its fun to fly and not overly complicated. It has tons of features, but totally and easily manageable.

All i can say is ---thank you so much for this gift,Bill!:icon29:
I allready own a few of your aircrafts,so i know that i will enjoy the Avelina too.
Much appreciated.

Whew.... That was lightning fast. I cant believe they went that quick. I figured several hours.

All links are sent.

Once you install the aircraft, you will see a 'manual' folder in the Avelina folder. Please read through that, especially on the primary display so you can 'see' where all the readouts are, such as elevator trim, VSI, ASI, heading and gyro compass, etc, etc. Its all neatly packed in that screen.

Note that 'blue font' is sleep mode (passive) and that 'green font' (for like auto pilot systems) are 'active' and running, armed, etc.

Primary readings like speed, HDG, altitude will turn 'magenta' in color when they are locked via auto pilot.

In the manual, the 'auto pilot system' is called 'android mode' and or 'cruise control'. When AP is 'off' you will see a 'ships wheel' on the primary screen. This means you are in manual flight mode. When you turn on the AP system (cruise control) an 'android' figure appears where the ships wheel was, and he will be holding the wheel, showing he is in control of flight systems now.

AP is managed (inputs) from the steering wheel and the center 'Kiosk' screen. Go to the Cruise Control page to input settings for AP.

On the 'steering wheel', there is a button on the top left of the dash board (yes, I said dash board, heh), that you can tap that will cause the steering wheel to hide. The wheel is set to be 'out of site' when you boot up in the plane, in that its a tilt colum and lowered to 60% down position, out of the way. Some may wish to hide it totally. I often fly the Ave with the wheel hidden.

In the old days, planes were equipped with steering wheels, planes like airliners to 4 place classics, even a few single seaters. I had always wondered what it would be like, so I made the yoke a steering wheel with airbag like modern cars have. It only makes sense and gives you so many 'angles' to grab the controls rather then just a couple of spots.

Controls for the 'Android' all function on the wheel and include 'trim'.

On a fun note, you can set your fuel to 1% and take off. You will get warning messages, etc. Your screens should go blank at zero battery voltage. Fuel is 'voltage' here.

The turbine APU will replace 'voltage' in 'power dumps of 50% power every 15 min's. So if you are 15 mins away from running to zero voltage, you should then engage the APU switch so that you will not be out.

Note the Ave has an excellent glide ratio and was incorporated to take advantage of zero power descents, becoming a downhill glider rocket.

Note 2. When you start up the Ave, you will note that at 'idle' she is not running. The motors only run at 'power' setting. At zero power setting, the fan shuts down, no noise. Its electric and has no need to idle. Kind of wierd to get used to, but after a couple of flights, its commonality.
