New textures for Alphasim's Arado AR196 are being uploaded!

Hi everybody!

New beautiful historical textures for Alpha's Arado Ar196 floatplane are being quietly uploaded by SteveB. Although they are listed for FS9, they apparently should work perfectly in CFS2 without need for any modification as they do not feature reflective alpha textures.

I think we CFS2ers are interested too, right?

The new skins are really good and I like the weathered look they have. They are also more detailed. As KH says, they fit perfectly in CFS2´s ALPHA Arado 196.

Now I wish the Ar196 would have working switchs in 2D panel: magnetos, starter, tank selector.

Kelti: I remember you added a wave effect for the floats ¿Did you do a package with exhausts effects for the Ar196?

PD: Have been very busy lately so I only read the posts but haven´t had time to comment or answer any. SOH CFS2 forum is still my web home.

Glad you like them, Oldwheat has my latest layerd masters for this model now, and is planning too do some skins for it.
just a note the textures I do for fs9 are usualy saved as extended 32 bit 888-8 format, if these cause anyone probs in cfs2 they will just need altering to a more friendly cfs2 format. using dxtbmp or similar.
