Icarusgold Gloster Gladiator on sale now

What a great little bird. Haven't enjoyed one this much for a long time!

Like Lawman, I really would suggest that you issue a modification that will allow the canopy to open with one key command, and then assign a different key command to the side entrance.

There would have been a lot of biplane pilots moving up to the Gladiator who would be used to flying with their canopy open at times - but you would never fly with the door open. Separate commands will allow us to fly with the canopy open.

Great job.

Bill

Thanks Icarus. I, for one, am already a satisfied customer and I'd be happy to pay for the 3-blade and Seagladiator versions as a seperatre product or as an add-on package since doing them would require making a number of changes to the two-blade model (I'm not a modeller but can imagine that would be a fair amount of work including the necessary research so it shouldn't be considered a "patch").

Keep up the great work. :medals:

Cheers,
Rick

research and fly the result of much work are the best parts, also receive good comments it's nice

Im still enjoying this one!

Interesting to read real pilot accounts and learn that many prefered to fly with the canopy open if the weather was OK to remove the frame from view. I guess most of them had come from open cockpit aircraft so were more hardy souls.

probably when we start the seagladiator we will modify also the canopy of mkI and II and prewar, i have had also the idea to reproduce the gladiator version modified for sweden the J8 that has a different cockpit.

Wings of Gold i didn't forget your clean skin...i will send you in the next days

Thanks Icarius, it will be appreciated. A clean skin would be much more appropriate for any of the prewar silver paint schemes (72, 73 87 squadron or K6130). I have flown a lot of painted aircraft during war time, and with the exception of a circumstance like Malta, you would never see extreme weathering/rust - as the aircraft are still well maintained.
