Te turbine models will probably be a while as I am on vacation in NZ and the engines will b ea bit time consuming as the fsx and fs9 FDs will be quite a bit different. MS didn't make a single spool Garret easy to do!

best wishes from Queenstown NZ.

Not a problem Tom. I have not released the turbos for FS9 yet so he does not have the gmax source for them. All in good time. :)

Hope you are enjoying it!....sorry about the weather! :kilroy:...might be ok down there?

Well since the S2F3 is getting all the votes, I took the liberty and started on the FSX conversion. It is going to take me a couple of days to get all animations and materials converted from FS9 to FSX spec. I will get with Uncle Milton to gather a team of testers for a thorough testing. Stay tuned for piccies:mixedsmi:

I am looking for a suitable yellow navlight effect to use on this model freeware wise. Can anyone point me in the right direction??

It is pretty simple to create one from a default effect.

Using the default FSX fx_navwhi.fx effect as an example:

[ParticleAttributes.0]
...
...
Color Start=55, 52, 50, 100
Color End=55, 52, 50, 0
...
...
[ParticleAttributes.2]
...
...
Color Start=155, 152, 150, 255
Color End=155, 152, 150, 0

[ParticleAttributes.0], 55, 52, 50, 100 are the Red, Green, Blue, Alpha components.
Changing all of the Blue components to "0" gives a bright Yellow effect.

Hope this helps, and Thanks for your efforts to enhance our Hobby. :applause: ..Don

I'm happy with any of them, but I just wanted to post and say thanks, euroastar350, for doing the conversions!*

* And of course thanks to Milton & crew for the originals. :)

These are a hoot to land on any of the available Accel Carriers. There are some tailhook settings that are different in FSX than FS9, but these were acually developed in FSX before FS9, FD wise.

Cheers: t

While you are at the model, could you do something with the texture mapping for white1_t? It's impossible to get a really accurate repaint with all the bits just covered by one blanket texture.

Apologies for making a request - if ever there was a model "proliferated" and continuing to "proliferate" it is this, but it would be terrific to have an AI version (even just by removing the VC) of the Tracker and/or Tracer if that isn't too much work. If it is, never mind, as I am grateful for all the fine work already produced! I have lots of flyabes running as AI as it is and this one I am sure won't be too hard on frames . .

I missed this message. Excellent news !
I hope you will have the possibility to solve the virtual cockpit clickability problem during the conversion of the interior model.

I'll test fly the -3 in FSX again and see how the air files fly. They were originally developed in FSX and back tested and adjusted for FS9, but at this point in the project with so many planes and two sims, some confusion reins.

I chose the C-1 mainly since we had them stationed at NASJRB Willow Grove and thought it might be col to be able to fly another bird based at NASJRB.

The DVHAA museum at Willow Grove has one on display. My grandfather worked on it for restoration before he passed away. (I was there yesterday for his memorial service, so I saw it). :jump:

My apologies for not giving updates. The model is FSX native now with 50% of materials converted over, animations are still being worked as some are not playing nice with me. Although slowly, I am still progressing to have the S2F3 model done. Stay tuned.

Don't apologize! Just knowing that they'll be available in FSX native form is more than enough for me. Thank You! :salute:...Don

Thanks for the update. If you need any "raw" textures from me to maintain original quality, let me know. :wavey:
