Captain Sim

for west coast usa you take away 5 hrs, for those on the far eastern coast take off 6 to 7 hrs :wavey:

Actually, the west coast of the US is GMT -8. Mountain time, take away 7 hours, central 6, and eastern 5.

Ok..i bought this month the FX versions of 757 , C130 PRO, F-18,..paid the full price..nice. I,m done buying cpt sim stuff until 29 of december next year.:banghead:

The following website may help time calculation. Navigate to your proper area. I googled to find this site. It may help others if they use it properly. Take note the sale is 24 hours long. The starting time may become crowded ?????? :costumes: :icon_lol: :isadizzy:

I was asking a similar question above? My thought was that at Midnight the 29th GMT is equivalent to 7PM EST on the 28th. Would like someone to confirm.

My conclusion is based on the fact that the Eastern zone is 5 hrs from the Greenwich meridian and that it we are 5 hrs behind in local time. So at Midnight the 29th we are 5 hours behind the day before the 29th or the 28th. 24 - 5 = 19 or 7 PM.

Any time experts out there to confirm, please?

They gave the sale times in GMT. Just convert your local time to GMT and you're good.

In answer to your question though: 00:01 GMT on Dec 29th would be the same as 19:01 US Eastern Standard Time on Dec 28th (the US is always behind so when it's the new day in Europe it's still the previous day in the US)

So, for US customers the sale starts at the following local times and date based on your time zone location:

Eastern 19:01L 12/28
Central 18:01L 12/28
Mountain 17:01L 12/28
Pacific 16:01L 12/28

In essence, the sale starts a "day sooner" in the US than it does in Europe.

Time is relative.....

So the sale didn't start yet? :mixedsmi:

Thanks Lateral-G for the info!

That's not the way I read my email... It says "everything is 9.99 euro."

Since the FSX C-130 Pro is ONE SINGLE PRICED PACKAGE, I read it at 9.99 euro. Am I wrong?? :isadizzy:

I hope you are right cause i will surely be picking it up! :wiggle:

You caanot register before you make purchase. When you do you'll be able to check in for support.
What a sale! Guess I need to check which CS products I do not have yet :isadizzy:

Tried to get onto Captsims site at 7:02 EST. No response. As expected it would be a difficult achievement. I have not gotten my hopes up too much for getting in and putting in an order, but will try a few times during the evening. Must stay cool.:costumes:

I got in at 11.55 GMT, sale was on, grabbed my stuff and :running:

:d

PS. Might go back for more, not sure, just got 3D lights for FSX aswell, so have to think about it.

I managed to log in and buy C130 X pack II ok. It downloaded ok but their activation server was very slow. I had a couple of attempts at registering.

Their entire site is now very slow. I guess I got in before the rush.

I tried to purchase something and when you are about to give you card info it still has the full price! I didn't purchase a thing because that is down right off the wall not to know the price until after you charge it. No way :kilroy:

Their online store is a bit slow now. Click on the link for the blowout sale on their main page. On the product you're buying click on the 9.99 add to cart link - then you'll be charged 9.99. If you just click on the product link and buy now then their store will attempt to charge full price.

Since i had the C-130 pro's for both sims and the F/A-18 I got me the complete 757's for both sims. Great deal and saved me some clams for the lionheart budget.

Worked fine for me, but I did what Robby did. I have most of the FS9 stuff already, all bar the 757. Took this oportunity to buy my first FSX only add-ons.

Can it really be true that the complete C-130 set is 9.99 euros? I've got all the FS9 ones and it cost me much more than that. Is the Pro pack the whole lot, I went back in to double check, and the site is bogged-down.
