Meyers christmas!

Thanks - so much better than some payware products i have purchased. :applause:

@ Piglet: mine is a 744 16V - that are peculiar cars for men who like peculiar planes:costumes:
Thanks again for that fine Christmas gift. I took her yesterday for a night flight (thanks to Nils for the lights!) from EDLW to EDDG - superb handling characteristics. I really feel at home in that machine.:applause:

I used to have an old 84 Volvo 245 Wagon. Had to junk it due to rust but it still ran like a top and got around great in the winter.

To keep slightly on topic. I did few gauge swap arounds on my 200D, (swapped the VSI and VOR 2 then swapped the VOR 2 for the RMI out of the Barron. I added a default ADF to the pop up panel.

Tim .....
Got a problem .... The heading bug doesn't engage in the A/P. When tryng to fly a IFR flight I had problems with that and the altitude setting.
What am I doing wrong?

Hey just wanted to say thanks, awesome plane, flies quick but also can fly low n slow!!!

One issue you're probably aware of is the cockpit lighting. In the day if you turn on the lights it washes everything out....

Another I just discovered is the NAV1 HSI - for some reason I can't get the CDI needle to turn at all....NAV2 indicator is working but I can't find any sort of OBS knob for NAV2

Merry Christmas....And thank you!
The Meyers 200D
It's gorgeous! And better than some I have paid for!

i agree, it's a darn fine christmas present, thank you very much!

this little beauty is a real hot rod, and as such, should have a suitable paint job (what do ya say, repaint guys?) maybe some flames or something? :icon_lol:

now for my stupid question of the day:

i keep getting this warning buzzer that i can't seem to find out how to shut off. can anyone tell me what it could be? it comes on when i land.

The Meyers 200 is a wonderful gift, anytime...:applause:
Here's hoping that Tim continues to throw us a "bone" every once in a while...:ernae:

Thanks again Tim...

Cheezy,
That buzzer is the gear warning. Pull the throttle back too far while the gear is retracted will sound the alarm. Common feature in GA aircraft.
There are entries in the .cfg file for setting/disabling the gear warning.
And for those with radio problems, there are entries for radios and autopilot as well.
It's all rather hit and miss to me, so bugs may pop up from time to time.

:redf:to be completely honest, i didn't notice it untill after i was taxiing to parking, because i am usually F11 view on approach. the only plane i fly from the vc is your aa-5b. for whatever reason, for me, the eyepoint in that one is perfect. i will look for the cfg lines for the gear warning. thank you for your patience with my question, and for another really cool plane for my hangar.

Well im back after a break
looks like santa did come after all
i must have been good at some point :costumes:
Cheers

Thanks Piglet! This is my 2nd favorite GA ship now. 1st is your Mooney M-18C.

Happy New Year. :ernae:

is it just me or does the nav/gps switch seem to work in reverse?
i'n not complaining, i just noticed it
Yup I noticed that too but I can live with it.

I have had some 'issues' to deal with since Xmas (including having my wife rushed into the ER TWICE in the early hours of the morning over the New Year period) and to get a bit of stress relief I turned to FSX the other day and spent 4+ hours in the Meyers and completed 18 take-offs/landings in my tour of all the UK FSX airports. This plane is simply a joy to fly and it is rapidly becoming my favourite single piston engine GA in my hangar.
