I never saw a single pop-up but then again I am running 'NoScript' for Firefox.

If you are using the Firefox browser I can highly recommend it as it stops all sorts of nasties in those rotating ads as well as blocking any background scripts on a web page. It can be a bit of a pain at first as you have to 'teach' it which sites are safe but once you have allowed a site it remembers and you can return without having to allow all the scripts again.

Wish there was one for IE. Recently I ve been getting tons of small pop ups which take an age to go away on their own. Random text in messages seems to be underlined and if the mouse pointer goes over them a pop up appears.

Gaahh! I hate sites that have all those bloody popups. Whenever I hear "click, click, click" coming from any website's page, I simply kill the tab instantly and never bother going back...
