Some pictures from the day cruise on-board the Carl Vinson taken today. It was an exciting day but quite tiring for me climbing up and down ladders all day. Wish I could have got a picture of the Rhinos breaking the sound barrier by the ship but they didn't give us enough warning.

I envy you the cruise on the Vincent!

While TDY to Hawaii a few months ago, I saw her docked at Pearl Harbor for a port call. She looked to be in fine shape following her last cruise.

While TDY to Hawaii a few months ago, I saw her docked at Pearl Harbor for a port call. She looked to be in fine shape following her last cruise.

I also was there and got to roam the deck while all the aircraft were onboard. I even had the oportunity to inspect a malfunctioning nose gear on one of the Super Hornets that was giving the mechanics fits as they removed and replaced it three times. It wouldn't hold hydraulic pressure. Not that I could do anything about it but it was fun giving my opinion on the problem. The rest of the time I spent roasting myself on the beach.
