ya now...my mom had a 1973 fiat 850 spider,i got to drive it "at speed" ( went better than i expected) at "sears point,"sonoma" way back when,early 80s,i guess,was part of a "fun day",we went down and "played "with the california highway patro,it had to have been late 81,i was still driving my hobby stock ,but my friends and i "played bad guys" and we drove old dodge polara's and the CHP guys and gals were driving brand new cruisers,if you remember where kenny schrader turned over at sears point,you pass start/finsih,make a left turn and start up the hill,the cop tried to pop me,and i got behind him and spun him and he went flying into the hay and turned over...OMG he was mad!!!!,but i didnt get in trouble because i was just doing as told,,,get away and do as i needed to "escape"..but back to the fiat,got to drive it around the course later that day and had a blast...this is not the car,but looks just like it,
 
That truck is from Liberation 1944 Ferry! Just couldn't resist using it and you in the same sentence,lol

Ferry - again thanks for the link, I dug out the scanner, dusted it off (literally) scanned the CD and box, filled out the online form etc and lo and behold I awoke this am to an e-mail with a link to d/l the revival version. Worked a treat thanks very much. Its a grand old sim and still looks good today.
 
OT - I once owned a Fiat, I discovered they don't react well to being stuck on the beech when the tide comes in. :icon_eek: Could almost watch it rust away in real time.
 
thanks guys,got my dvd/cd today,installed it..wouldnt work(had to try) and ive fired off the email with photo to the fellas for the digital download...looking at addon cars now...having fun.....i need this as a break from flight sim for a bit i think...
 
are there anyone you guys knowwho build cars at or on request?...i know im new,,and i have to have time to run many cars...but i wonder,,,cars like the volvo PV544 or PV444 ,,they did race them..ive seen pic..i have i have i tell ya....i understand the program to build these cars are spenicve...but maybe there is something out there not so costly?..and someone like me who knows cars..unlike planes....could try?or if some one has a program they not using they would barter for?....
 
I don't know anyone who designs cars Dave. You could ask at the no grip forums maybe. There are no cheap versions of 3DS max, can't be traded by anyone who has it. It has to do with the license for the program.
 
Ok, Ferry, currently downloading that 7 year old classic GTL, all two and a half gigs of it.... your fault,my friend....

Just kidding because i know it IS good. Bought it when it was released but gave the CD to a friend sometime ago. Why not, i've got just about all the fancy modern race game stuff including pCars which is totally breathtaking. But you know, i can't help missing GTL !

Want to thank you a lot for the reminder ! In the mean time i'm back at GTL and loving every minute of it. It still IS very good, isn't it !

I also downloaded and installed the truckload of vintage race cars from nogripracing ( thanks for the link, Eddie ! ) which weren't available yet when GTL was my fav race game. The models look great and the sounds are awesome ! Good chance GTL will become my fav race game second time around ! :cool:

Question : where exactly does the 'TG2001.DYN' file go to unlock everything ?....

The unlock file goes into the GT Legends main folder, Jan. Glad you have also rediscovered GTL!

When I bought it originally I had only a mediocre racing wheel and not a lot of experience, now with a G25 and all those new add-ons it really is like a new game.

I haven't seen GTL for about 2 years and was extremely pleasantly surprised after i installed it again a couple days ago. And i absolutely LOVE all this new vintage mods !! :jump:

Say, Ferry, any vintage F1 cars available for GTL that you know of ? ( i can't get used to rFactor2.... )

i still cant get my brake to work with this,it works correctly in the computers controller setup,and in the "game" options set up,but as soon as i get into a car to drive,the brake is fully applied and wont reliese ...i have 3 other driving type things now..they all work fine,sprint cars,and 2 rally car type games..but they arent much fun to me....i drove real sprint cars,and the ones in the game just slide around unrealisticly in my opinion
