Please see the above to substantiate DHC2Pilot's thread.
It reads translated in crude English:
"This CA127 was manufactured as evolution of CA97 for recce purposes; just one prototype was built. It was built following Caproni's purchase of Monospar production rights."
To sum it up a big mess because Wiki's pic of CA127 is quite different from the above.
The final question is: who is right?

If this is the CA.127, it certainly looks nothing like the single engined CA.97, and even less like the 3-engine CA.97. Personally I don't think the mystery 127 could possibly be an 'evolution' of it. Wiki's 127 looks somewhat like the 97 except for the tapered wing, landing gear strut arrangement, and the shape of the stab. :isadizzy: And all the while Kevin is sitting at his desk, :icon29: in hand, laughing at our futile attempts to put a name to this enigma.

I'd believe that over Wiki any day of the week.
 
First of all, a :icon29: to John for the Ca.127. BTW- I would never laugh unless it was one of my April fools day specials or some such.:eek:

Baragouin- Thanks for the link. The photo I had came from Aeroplani Caproni by Apostolo, Abate & Alegi.

The wiki entry is showing the Ca.146, not the 127!

But if you have the definitive book, why were you 'not 100% sure of the designation' ????

In most cases, yes. Top right corner by the search box there should be 3 tabs (Read, Edit, View History) and if the Edit is available, a click should bring up the entry page with a message that says the entry is editable.

That's the simple answer. Regarding rules, references, rebuttals -- I never read that far

It's the good and bad of Wiki.. it is "open" but also why it sometimes contains crap

Hmm, had a look at prices and don't think I'll be getting that book either !
