Night Fighter in daylight.

Crg! Lovely screenies, the bests for me the first and the last. Waiting for Accusim soon, but after Ta-152 plus Accu ;).

Again very nice images. Is the event historical? Because I assume that airborne radar is a few years older than the He-219 and Bf109 Kurfürst.
Nevertheless as said very nice atmospheric images.

Cheers,
Huub

Sorry, pure fantasy ..... :redface:

Well it sounded logical and it doesn't make the pictures less beautiful.

Radar was an odd invention as it really an international thing. A German physicist (Heinich Herz), proving a theory form a Scottish physicist (James Maxwell) and turned into practical used by a German scientist for civil purposes (Christian Hülsmeyer, who designed an anti collision system for ships).
The British (Robert Watt) contributed much to the development of the system and were the first to make successful use of it in warfare and finally the Americans gave it its name (Radio detection and ranging).

Looking back you wonder whether the Germans would have allowed Hülsmeyer to share his information as open as he did, when they would have recognised what possibilities the system had.

Cheers,
Huub

Thank You.

Impressive knowledge Huub !
And Lewis, finally there showed up some friends to this Owl :icon_lol:

I don't think the Owl is going to get the Accu-Sim treatment, and I've been asking for any type of Accu-Simmed 190 since A2A posted screenshot of the work-in-progress cockpit a couple of years back. My fingers stay crossed, but I'm not holding my breath. ;)

Ideally for a late even Lanc attack or a return with a formation of B-17s :icon_eek: great st of screens :cool:<input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><!--Session data--><input jscode="leoInternalChangeDone()" onclick="if(typeof(jsCall)=='function'){jsCall();}else{setTimeout('jsCall()',500);}" id="jsProxy" type="hidden">
