  • Special Server Maintenance

Just when you think you have everything running some what better...

You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

To keep you updated we will post updates on AVSIM forums.

    Thank you for your support.

A Lockheed "Rounder"

Nigel, sunshine, lemon juice and ouzo will cure anything. The sunshine should be taken in moderation, though. :icon_lol:

Cheer up soon!

Thanks for the kind thoughts, friends...

Thanks Matt, buddy for keeping all good friends here up to date with the gen.
Congratulations on your fine work so far on your amazing Harpoon textures!
Proud of you mate!

Many thanks to all here with their kind and warm messages - I'll never forget it!
Seems, there's no big do...they just want to replace my radials with turbos - I told them what they could do with 'THEM'!

Actually, its probably something to do with an over-active thyroid - like some SAS bloke has got a stranglhold on me and at the same time - instead of everything around me playing at a nice speed of 33.3 some nugget pushed the speed switch to 78 and I'm racing around like Speedy Gonzalez!

Anyway, until Doc gives me something: the best advice I've seen so far is that of hawkeye52:

"sunshine, lemon juice and ouzo will cure anything. The sunshine should be taken in moderation, though. "

Okay Doc, I'll go easy on the sunshine!!:icon_lol:!

Now...where'd I put those headphones?....AHA! Next to me paintbrushes!

Dounga...dounga...dounga...dabble...dabble...dabble!!!:jump:

Good to have you back and in fightin' shape, mate. Glad to hear you're still kickin' and swingin'. I thought you had gotten lost looking for "batteries". Yeah, sunshine, lemon juice and OUZO!!! works for me too!:isadizzy:

First I am glad to see that Nigel is charged again...don't over do it mate. Steady as she goes .... things get done when they get done. Short of disarming a ticking time bomb hardly anything is ever really that time sensitive :D

Dave I finally got the zip for the YC-125 to upload to Mediafire without locking up somewhere around 80% through. I hope it downloads better.

Thanks fellas, The ouzo and lemon juice are working a treat here - the only thing I've been overdoing lately, is not having the bally electricity I needed...a frustrating buggerance!

Now that I've got the juice, and with the heart-warming encouragement from all you good folk, I've got the 'bit between the teeth'!

Milton has promised to send all the latest updates for this project, so I'm like a cat on hot bricks.

Bring them forth Sir! :jump:

well i finally got the chance to push her back inside my hangar and start on internal work...... :jump: the eagle eyed may notice some shadowing on the far wall which gives it a slight bit more 'depth of feel' still a lot to do, but this is where it all begins....:salute:

Stunning work, mate! The LOD is very nice. I'll prolly spend more time in the spot view, looking inside that cockpit you know. :salute:
