A Lockheed "Rounder"

That particular shot was in 3DSMax as i was baking the textures for a bit more depth, currently working the floor at the moment, do we know if the floor was just bare metal (primer coated) or if it had the black 'non-slip' coating?

here's the floor level currently.... same process as i used in the Avia pretty much, multiple viewers for the model and Max to do the baking....

This is the best I can do for now, found on the web. Not sure this is era correct though.

The cockpit floor pics that I have are a mess from partly refurbed stuff. Not sure what a completed new production model was like.

Milton, can we remap the interior the same as the exterior? front half on one sheet rear half on another? same with the floor, would allow us a bit more flexibility i feel... as at 1024 the floor is a bit of a blurred mass, especially with a diamondplate type floor it'd look a bit well, blurred beyond recognition... just thinking from a texturing point of view....

I can do that Matt. Just not sure its worth all the extra detail since the interior is not "fleshed out" with all the "stuff" that you might expect in a payware version. I was thinking keep it "dark-ish" and subtle. Willing to hear from others and you as to preferences. I had not planned to add the tables, guns, radios, etc. as the models are already rather hefty and I have no details available to model all the stuff.

What say you all?

maybe just do it in the cockpit area? increase the resolution there or something? as that's where simmers will spend most of their time... just thinking, lets hear what the end users say...

Can you indicate on this screenshot where you want the hi-res abilities?

EDIT: This is where we are now

i'd say from the Green bulkhead forwards... gives us 9/10ft of higher resolution and past that i can make it blend into more of a coal-bunker...

enjoy, it's 0048 and i'm fine surface filler-ing and sanding my real-world 'hobby' project.... :icon_lol:

Great! Actually working on it now. Got the fuseinner done, starting the bulkheads now (better res), then the cockpit walls and window framework.

looking forwards to it, i'm hoping my master eye decides to de-blur (ophthalmologists tomorrow to see if they can figure why a few times each day my master eye goes into 'defocus' ) so i can put my hobby down and get back to texture work... and no, y'all ain't seeing my Hobby :icon_lol: it's highly classified stuff :icon_lol: i could show you but then i'd have to start knocking you off one by one...

anyhow, looking forwards to changes and i'll be up yet for another 4 maybe 5 hours yet.... :icon_lol:

Sounds like you answered your own question ... too little sleep :)

even after a good nights sleep i can tell my right eye is failing on me, it's my 'shooting eye' my best... without it i'm scuppered, just hope they find out what's up with it i really do, don't want to have to reign back my repainting... then again from october it'll be reigned in slightly, i'm off to annoy another member of the team over the winter and assist him where i can... sounds and textures in 1 place... now there's a coup! :jump:

I understand completely Matt. Hope it all works out for you.

I have emailed the texture templates and the model file with the requested changes.
