Cessna 150??

Sadly no one's brought over J. Narcizo's Aerobat 150 taildragger into FSX, though someone did attempt to translate the nosewheel version. The 150T's a great little ship in FS9.

I just bought Carenado's Cessna C-152 II for FSX which I'm enjoying thoroughly, but I would LOVE to see them do a 152 Aerobat with the tailwheel conversion and the Sparrowhawk engine mod that tacks on an additional 15 ponies to the 152's stock 110hp O-235 Lycoming, and then sim a Horton STOL kit for her as well. THEN I'd be a happy camper!

PS. As far as I know the Fravin Cessna 150 taildragger is still some ways off in the future for FS9

yeah i would love to puts around with the Cessna 150 tail drager..
 
Just a heads-up about porting this airplane. The only "glitch" is that some of the gauges aren't compatible, which is normal for some FS9-FSX ports. Other than that, there isn't anything else that has to be done to get it into FSX. If you have FSPanel Studio it's no problem at all. I had the gauges swapped out in about 15 minutes. If you don't have it, there is a demo version to wet you appetite and I promise that once you've tried it, you'll buy the full version and then you'll be hooked.

Yeah, I'm very fond of JEN's 150 taildragger; even made a custom texture in both Canadian and New Zealand reg. marks for myself in FS2004 when I still had a working example of PhotoShop:

There are a lot of mixed opinions about the taildragging C-150/152 out in the aviating world. Many say it's too small, cramped, and weight-limited to be of any use other than an around-the-patch puddle jumper (true, possibly, for the 150, but the 125hp Sparrowhawk mod for the C-152 adds 15 hp to the stock 110hp O-235 Lycoming with little or no weight penalty and the conversion to tailwheel drops that heavy nosewheel set up and does add a few knots in the speed department. Some people squeeze 150hp engines into them and even 180 horse O-360's but then the law of diminishing returns quickly cuts in with rapidly rising weight in the engine room and higher fuel consumption). But on the other side fans of the TD say with the proper engine/prop combo, a STOL kit and careful attention to loading she can be downright sprightly and a ton of fun in a small package. Some folks prefer the pre-1966 150's with a straight tail as it makes these little Cessna look like mini Cessna 180/185's (even moreso if it's a pre-1964 'fastback' version), but I like the Omnivision rear window and swept back tail; gives it a spunky, racy look with that tailwheel. :)
