i grew up in a row house. we didn't have 40' combining the living room and dining room together :icon_lol:
 
Because of how our house was set up, i had about 40' of flight with mine,, out of the dining room, down the hall, past the stairs the restroom, then landing in the room at the other end of the hall.
in my " airport" usually Princess Leia, Luke and Han were fighting stormtroopers. support could often hang from the plane and be dropped off.. great fun.
 
LOL Nice, never had that one.... but I did have that helicopter one that rotated at the end of a wire... had some controls where you could control forward/reverse motion and up and down.
 
whirly birds?..i used to have that one, an orange chopper that went thru a line, just like a telepheric , great fun back then

My dad got tired of buying batteries for mine so he rigged an old HO scale train powerpack to run my verticopter. I could play with it for hours that way.

Neat! :applause: I extended the trailing edges of the rotor (using electricians tape) to increase the lift capability on mine. Tried but never could get it to lift up a Hot Wheels car. :costumes:

My friend Kevin across the street had one of these. We would play with it for hours...as for the space, let's just say he had a very patient mother.

Kevin went on to get his commercial license and work for the airlines. I fly too, but just for pleasure.

It was that toy that got both of us thinking about flying.
 
For the life of me, I can't remember the U-Fly-It. Does anyone know when it came out? There's no way I wouldn't have wanted it.
