Sim Skunk Works F / RF 104 G - last pictures and project update.

Hi all,
We are near to the relase of our Zipper G ,in F/RF configs, hopefully in few days.
Initial release will contain F/RF-104 G MAP and Consortium models in Belgian, Danish, Dutch, German, Hellenic, Italian, Spanish, Turkish versions, all differences in internal configurations and external loadout have been mantained for historical correctness.
Initial release will be for "SOLO" models only, "UBUNTU" models optimzed for multiplayer will be relased hopefully before September with an extension pack.
All weapon loadout/drop/launch are working both in single and multiplayer.
SSW F/RF-104G uses the Drag Index concept, in other words when you load/drop external loads not only the GW is changed but also the drag coefficient is affected and the model aerodynamics change accordlying. This is particularly important in the F-104 where external loads affect greatly the dynamic behaviour of the model.
Another step toward the "close to real" concept that SSW considers "paramount" and that makes the difference from toys and simulators.
Soon in the skies,as usual hope you will enjoy!

Here are some examples of loadouts and liveries..

Sorry Ian,but I did not understand very well the meaning of what you wrote....I only understood that you have driven CS f-104.....The remaining part of the message is lost deeply in the thick fog..

Hehe I think he's referring to a kid's breakfast-cereal toy.

Looking forward to your G model!

Pluto, a bit off topic, but I have your F-104S, but haven't been able to use it. Everytime I e-mail my key for authorization I don't get a reply. Is there a different e-mail I can use to possibly get my F-104 to work? I've had it for a few months now and been unable to use it since either my e-mails aren't getting through to SSW or theirs aren't getting back to me. Thanks.

Hi Sundog, drop me a PM with your e-mail address,we try to solve the problem together, maybe is a problem with the e-mail provider.

:icon_lol: Thanks Barfly , gotta quit speaking in riddles , actually it was a breakfast-cereal card set , it would be interesting to see that card photo again , it was from a set released in the late 1960's about aircraft , the USAF F-104 happened to be considered worth a mention  <input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><!--Session data--><input jscode="leoInternalChangeDone()" onclick="if(typeof(jsCall)=='function'){jsCall();}else{setTimeout('jsCall()',500);}" id="jsProxy" type="hidden"><input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><!--Session data--><input onclick="if(typeof(jsCall)=='function'){jsCall();}else{setTimeout('jsCall()',500);}" id="jsProxy" type="hidden">

Hi,
The sqn code of 331 skv RNoAF is FN. On the starboard side the code should read FN-K and on the port it should read K-FN. There are more but I won't go into it.
Did the modeller use ambient occlusion on this models textures (baked shadows) ?

Best
