• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

My poor orange colored balloon has gotten smothered over by lots of blue ones. Any chance of replacing it with a gigantic Malcolm Forbes balloon instead?:kilroy:

Go to the top of the page the upper right hand corner. Click on settings.

On the left hand side under My Settings click Edit Avatar.

Click on Member Map in the menu bar above. Just above the map click "update your location". This will add a push pin "balloon" to the map with your name. You may then place that balloon in the appropriate place.

Until you do this you will not show up.
 
Dude,this isn't working....

I plopped my balloon down, hit save....but when I ran outside there was nothing there!

It's pretty interesting. If you zoom in enough, you can see the property lines. I was able to figure out right exactly where my house sits from that.
 
Put my balloon right on top of my new roof. Can see my '04 Explorer in the back driveway. Wife was at work that day, her car gone. (Or we might have been out shopping, if it was a Saturday.:mixedsmi: )
 
Well, I can't get the map to come up. It just sits there on the screen telling me to update my location. I'll try again tomorrow. Probably a problem on my end (hardware).

This is not working for me either. After pressing the "update your location" button, the orange balloon appears then the entire app resets (blinks and returns to the initial display).

I tried this with Firefox & IE (latest of each).
 
Won't work for me, or I'm not smart enough to operate it properly. I can't zoom the map while my balloon is displayed, just resets the display to the world view. Maybe I can get my own balloon, tie it to my tv antenna, and wait for the satellite to come around again.

Ah no I just went to check my balloon at Randolph AFB and I got the same result you just described. It also happened once during this reply lol and reset err. And no I didn't fill up our Dauphin with beer or whiskey.
 
There seems to be a refresh rate on the map.

Its way too fast and probably should not be there at all.

We will get it fixed.
 
I see a pilot by the name of Frank Luke in his mighty SPAD zooming around my balloon and taking pot shots at it. No doubt he'll be knocking it down in short order. Will I be able to replace my gas bag for another one?
