The negative WW-I insigna on the uselage was actually Galland's personal marking. The Mickey Mouse emblem was the marking of 3.J/88staffel. Oblt Douglas Pitcairn (Scottish ancestors, but actually a native German from East Prussia) had been given permission to use this marking. Later Galland adopted the marking as his personal marking.

No AC in the picture, I know. Was just having a night flight with the Cri-cri, looked to my left, and snapped a pic. I do like the visiblity of the bubble canopy.
