Avia 57 Wheel version for FSX (Portover)?

I installed the latest Avia57fxPkg.zip.

I installed it by the book.After I installed it.I added the fsx portover updates to it as reguired.

When I go to select the paints.two of the images in the texture folders I guess are missing.One of them is there.I'm adding a screenshot.I'm not sure how to add the image of the paints.

The other Issue I'm having is the mini panel.From the aircraft panel.I selected the icon,which is and says other controls windows display/hide.I assume this icon would be the mini panel.I click on it,and it doesn't open.
I checked the panel .cfg and do see window08=Mini Panel.It is there.The mini panel just isn't showing up,for some reason?.

Another small issue I'm having is with the ladder,when I bring it out.The ladder looks like it's bent forward,looking from the right side of the ladder.It doesn't seem to be straight,when it's out.I'm adding a screernshot of this as well.

You say you downloaded the latest FSX package, and you say you installed the FSX updates.
The latest package does not have FSX updates; they are applied for you.

The original package left the FSX updates in the package mistakenly, and that had errors that you are experiencing.

I would recommend deleting your Avia 57 and downloading the "latest" marked as 1.03 in the description.

There are a number of issues corrected in the latest version.

I'm not sure what you mean (downloading the "latest" marked as 1.03 in the description)?.Could you provde a link to the correct download?.When I got it.The one I have I downloaded it from flightsim.com.

I went back to flightsim.com and the only one that is there,is the the Avia 57 float plane for FSX as portover v1.0. FSX portover.So this must be the wrong one?.If your referring to version 1.03 I'm not finding it,so I can download it etc?.

Flightsim never plays well with my uploads; many attempts, very few successes, very slow. After around 8-9 tries I gave up trying to update the version there. You want my latest stuff, get it at SOH or my personal website.

I didn't know that Milton.

How and where do I find your personal website,as well?.I'd stick to it like glue.I already deleted the version I had.

I cleared out the previous Avia57 I had.

I clicked on your link,and downloaded the plane.I extracted the zip to a temp folder.I then ran the Avia57fX.exe installer to another temp folder.I than installed the 6 effects to my fax effects.Than I installed the plane.

I fired up the sim.I still have the same two issues as seen in my previous two screenshots.I don't know why the pictures of the paints won't show up,when I select three of the four paints.I can still click on them and they will show up.
The ladder problem is still there,and the window08 mini panel won't show up,even when I click the the icon on the insterment panel?.I have the correct version installed v1.03 etc.

As a note I have all your Avia planes installed in my fsx.

I'm not sure what to try next?.

As a note.Maybe I need to have the Avia57 wheeled plane installed as well,though I'm not sure?.

Great! You now have the correct version :) The wheeled version has no bearinng on the float package; it is not required.

Thumbnails: You are correct; I did not put thumbnails in the package; an oversight on my part.

Ladder: Yes, it is that way ... Lou Goodman did his best to rig up something that would work. That's as good as it gets.

Minipanel: works here in 2D panel mode so not clear what you are experiencing

Other Controls: Agreed that icon does not work. I do not see the issue with it so I cannot fix it. Sorry. The same issue exists on the wheeled version.

If these issues really bother you, I recommend deleting the aircraft; it's just not worth the stress. :)

EDIT: After much research, I finally determined the issue with "Other Controls" Icon. Apparently the FSX SimiIcons uses a different IDENT number for this Gauge than does FS9. With that changed, the Icon now works,

Attaching a replacement panel.cfg for the FSX Wheeled version, the FSX Wheeled Cargo version, and the FSX Float version.

I wasn't really concerned about the issues I had mentioned.I was just relaying what I did see,in case others,may have the same issues.I don't use the mini panel anyway.I'm keeping the plane.It fly's with no issues.

I didn't notice I was in the wrong topic thread,since I was dealing with the Float version.

I do want to install the the wheeled version of the Avia57 for FSX.Could you provide the link to the wheeled version of the Avia57?.I want to be sure I'm downloading the correct one,for install.

I did go to your page,but I didn't see the Avia57 wheeled version there.

Some Avia 57 Float thumbnails

I made four thumbnails for myself. Use them if you like. Just open the 7-zip archive, copy/paste each one to the corresponding texture folder, and rename to just thumbnail.jpg
