Microsim T-37 textures in FSX

The T-37 textures in FSX are too shiney, and I was wondering if there is a quick fix for it, or if anyone has already done the fix.

If you opened the texture sheets for it using DXTbmp and saved the files without the alpha may work .. be worth a try.

I did look at this model on release years back but because it was not tested in FSX gave it a miss .

Thanks for the response. I have DXTBMP, and I just looked at the texture sheet and clicked on the various alpha channel options, but I didn't see how to actually delete the alpha channel. The options given were exporting/importing, and replacing it.

When open you aircraft in what ever paint editing program you use , without touching the paint you can save as it is , you then reopen DXTbmp and save it in the same size and type , simply forget the alpha channel .

Hey there Anneke,
I was the 3D modeler on the Microsimulator T-37. I'm sorry to say that the model isn't fully compatible with FSX, and a number of features shouldn't work, especially on the copy protection side of things that will lock out a number of features.

Sorry to hear that, I always loved the T37 sim. Annoying sound but great to fly.
Pity that it was never updated for FSX!
Hope you're doing well Jamal!

Hello Jamal,

I hope that someday we will have a workable T-37 in fsx even if it is a portover verion. Sure I am ready to pay for such version.

Have a good day

Ah man, it would be nice. I still have the model. I had actually started updating it for FS9 a few years ago... but then life got in the way with deployments for myself and the project manager, and eventually we just didn't get back to it.

I'll give the project manager a buzz and see what he thinks about us maybe updating it for FSX! Ya never know! :)

I recall a few very unique paint schemes that were painted on this aircraft that I found while searching for interesting or colorful schemes on planes and helicopters. I thought I had saved the images. Searching Google for them brings up nothing either. I think one of the schemes was a lizard? Never the less, it was a very in depth scheme. It's a scheme I would love to try to do.

With some creative search terms I found one of the images. I know there are more.

EDIT: Excuse me. My wires are crossed. This was painted on a BAC 167 jet trainer

Add me to the list that would like to see this happen. I would be more than willing to purchase a FSX version. Following a computer crash, I can't even fly my FS9 version any longer.:kilroy:

Facebook message sent. We'll see what Hernan (the project lead) says. :)

Thank you all so much for your interest! Cross your fingers!

Add me to the list...

....I love tweets! Especially if we can do hi-def bare metal that looks good so I can have a 1960s ATC machine. With the Carenado 172 and Milviz T-38, I'd be off to virtual UPT for 53 weeks...

Welp, Hernan is on board! We don't have a programmer, but I think I can get that sorted out.
Would anyone happen to be interested in a Beechjet 400A also? We were starting to work on that before our paths diverged.
