The Ongoing Mystery Aircraft Thread Part Deux.

An ag-plane with a (a lot of) difference. Wanted to post this one for a while, but I may violate the forum rules as I donot know for sure whether it was flown. On the other hand, I have NO proof it did NOT fly :icon_lol:
To help a bit, it went under 3 names, so they say, and the designer was entered in the Aviation Historical Society of his home State :USA-flag:.

I have proof it flew. The skies are thick with them...

Hi Kevin :salute:
Very Nice find. I must agree the swarm of aircraft vaguely resemble the aircraft in my picture.
Is this from an article or from advertisement and what it is called in the article/ad?

I do hope that's a legal substance he's loading in there...............

It must be, otherwise they would not be spreading it all over Iowa.

This is the Marlman Flying Box of 1955. Walter- I found that artwork in an old Popular Mechanics magazine from the time.

Edit: I'm down with a bit of the flu this weekend. Here is a new one to ponder if I don't make it back in a timely manner. Please press on if you know this large tired flying boat.

A very sad Harbin SH-5.

Unless, of course, this is a special variant with extended dorsal viewing platform........you never know what those Chinese will get up to :jump:

Thanks Kevin. Sorry to hear about your flu - I will send you my surefire hot toddy recipe if all else fails......:isadizzy:

Here's a not-very-pretty aeroplane with an even less pretty name -

Which sounds like Anthony - I thought at first the strutting was a bit Fokkery but can't pin down a model with splayed outer struts and extended ailerons.

OK enough of this....she is the Raab-Katzenstein RK9 "Grasmücke"which as you know is a 1927 light aircraft.
As I will be tied up for the next few hours please feel free to carry on.
Cheers
Baragouin
