Ipad and Fsx

Would like to understand the steps I need to take to use ipad as second monitor.

Do I need to download something that cost money or is there something free to have the two computers talk to each other. A little lost on how to get started.

any info appreciated.

Thx Dave for link but I was looking for utility that connects the iPad with desktop first. Purpose would be to move Rex window onto the iPad monitor and of course later on enjoy Other apps as well. But not sure what programs interface the two.
