You know, watching that makes me feel so small and insignificant. Sort of like we are all just molecules floating in one huge cell. Like that song by Kansas "Dust in the Wind".
 
Thanks for linking this awesome video. Impressive and humbling! What made me a bit afraid was the bit at the very end where they showed Manhattan to put that event into scale!

Too bad these things happen so far away with so few eye witnesses or people wouldn't be so thoughtless about global warming issues. That glacier retreated more in 10 the last 10 years than in the previous 100...

If you want to talk about "Global Warming" then you first need to think about it on a Global scale... not just what is happening in "your backyard".

The Great Ice Age..Yes NYC once was under 4miles of ice,as was most of the world...in Central Park NY.there are the scars of the receding ice till today in the slab rock there.....We are still coming out of the recent ice age, as this ole earth has for countless times..a cycle of cold and heat over and over...Man is only here for a fraction of time now..It may not know how to react to a natural process.So the panic,Blame Game,.is normal!!..The Neanderthals ,who were around much longer than modern man is now,Lived in that enverement....I doubt if we could!.....now factor in Wold Volcano's?,Comet impacts,?....Tsunamis?,Epidemics?.....Man we all could be gone in the blink of an eye!...Doubt that?Ask any T-Rex..if you can find one....In 1974 the thinking by these people was that We should Prepare for the Coming Ice age....Cover of TIME Magazine showing NYC under ice ..again..The Fear merchants made a bundle then...No today we are rightly concerned about Getting Hot again..The very same fear merchants are still making a buck.!.......Thanx Dave..Great Stuff!
