tidynetworks.com

FSX68

I have this cootie that somehow installed itself and I cannot remove or uninstalled it. Anyone out there have
any suggestion on how to remove it is appreciated. It looks like it first attached itself to my addon extensions in
firefox. I could remove it from the addon but my Revo uninstaller Pro will not uninstall it. The icon for it still
appears in my Revo uninstaller but not in the stock FSX uninstaller.

Found this by googling a bit:
http://botcrawl.com/how-to-remove-tidynetwork-virus/

There seems to be two parts, browser extension and installed program and both should be removed. If those tips don't work, try the alternative methods mentioned in the link.

Thanks for the link. I actually stumbled on the same link earlier and I do have and used malwarebytes pro and it came up with no issues. I have Revo uninstaller pro and it says I have
Tidynetworks.com installed and when I go to uninstall it it claims that it cannot find the uninstall program, the stock Wind 7 installer/uninstaller doesn't indicate that tidynetworks is installed.
I found it installed in my firefox addons and hit the remove button and I did not see it on the addons listing anymore. So, I am going with what Revo uninstaller Pro is saying that this
tidynetworks.com (icon showing) is installed.

Try to clean your registry with ccleaner. It might be just some left over in registry that makes revo think you still have it.

I tried your suggestion and save a backup of the registry (just in case) after cleaning registry that program was still showing up in Revo installer pro but not
in win 7 installed programs. I scanned the backup registry file with malware-bytes with no issues.

Thanks for your help.

Fixed

Afrer contacting both Malwarebytes Pro and Revo uninstaller Pro tech support teams, I got a email from Revo that wanted me to hit the refresh tab inside their program
I did and the icon went POOF :pop4: GONE!!! so that did it! the uninstall string that Revo listed was just not there to be found, so I figure it must be just the icon for that program

that was hung up somehow. I sent thank you emails to both tech support teams for working with me. Looks like this was a hanging icon in their program that was stuck.

:applause:
