There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.
If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.
Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

smoe more ideas for the painters out there......
Two versions of the Sea Mustang in Canadian colours. Assuming a small batch (say 20) to equip one squadron (803) on HMCS Magnificent from about 1950 the first paint shows the aircraft as delivered with an Extra Dark Sea Grey over Sky scheme with an early RCN roundel, the second towards the end of its service around 1955 in the later pattern. Both are schemes applied to the RCN's Sea Furies (note to self - put these on the FS Sea Fury, idiot!). The serial follows on from the final RCAF Mustang (9600).

Now that's just cruel ... absolutely not fair ....![]()
Indeed, as an aside, I would welcome anything you do for the FS Sea Fury. Even the standard mid-50s scheme without Korean War theatre stripes would be nice on that model!
Back to the Sea Mustang - did the wings fold? Does the WBS model's fold? I'm guessing not, since the real 44-14017 appears to have been an otherwise standard NA spec plane prior to the addition of arrestor gear and other naval gear ... but am curious.
I understand there is a USS Shangri-la included in the package. Any good shots of it?
cheers,
Dave, if you mean 44-72986, it has the same badge/emblem as seen here (Wyoming ANG): http://jetpilotoverseas.wordpress.c...amin-g-nelson-and-national-guard-pilots-1948/
I'm thinking that the circle around the emblem is red, and then the sky of course blue with white mountains and black cowboy/horse. This is the Wyoming ANG patch: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Wyoming_Air_National_Guard_-_Emblem.png
Guys,
Will you please stop doing those superb skins for this little beauty, as my poor hard drive can't take the strain!!!![]()
