It's like a cutaway drawing. He's matching the outside diameter of the effect segments to the inside diameter of the corresponding sections of the model.What on earth did you do? Close up looks like inferno.Trying to understand the perspective of the changes.
What did you make fit? Are the burner nozzles now flush with the edge of the tailpipe?
I want a copy when you are happy with it.It's like a cutaway drawing. He's matching the outside diameter of the effect segments to the inside diameter of the corresponding sections of the model.

Tedious... Awesome work, Ted!I want a copy when you are happy with it.

Great work gentlemen! I hope that at some point in time, all of these improvements could be rolled up into one file and uploaded here. I see one set of afterburner effects from the CF-105 and one set that looks like it was included in the Alpha download. A bit confusing to someone coming in late in the game.![]()

Final version.
I believe this is Rich's settings in the aircraf.cfg light section, you may have to make some minor adjustments since this is different than previous version.
[lights]
light.2 = 9, -18.00, 0.00, 0.15, fx_ALPHA_F8_TF_AB
You will need the effects textures from the Alpha CF105 aircraft.
Having fun flying this bird!!!
Ah... the video is now available. Yep, it's TF... didn't want to get it confused while testing with TFF file. Looks like you got spot on Rich! -TF
I'm cornfuzed! I can't find an AS F105D gunsight. I have the FS9 F105D Thunderchief and both FS9 and FSX versions of the CF-105 Arrow. None of them includes a gunsight that I can find....but I just want that damn AS F105D gunsight to show. I put it in the panel.cfg, but it isn't showing...

Meanwhile, I've finished(Yeah, Right!) my first AS F-8 repaint. Whatta chore! Just figgerin' out which texture goes with what model gave me a headache.Thank the Lord for MDLMat and ModelConverterX...Don

Russel R. Smith did one. vfp-62.zip at flightsim...DonWhile doing an internet search for VFP-62 repaints for the F-8, I came across a FS2002/2004 thread here that mentioned a repaint, but I never found one.
So, is there one available for this jet?
-Jeff
OK! I don't have that one.It's the native FSX AS Thunderchief that has the gunsight.
