'Rush', the first official trailer!

Ron Howard is not Steve McQueen, so Wombat666 is correct, it will be Hollywood injected with false romance. Anytime you put romance in a racing film based on a true story, it always comes out stinking. The race screens will be fine, but the rest of the movie will be a Hollywood scripted POS.

I don't think either Lauda or Hunt was interested in a romance, but for quite different reasons... ;)

Guess we'll have to wait until September to see how it turned out, but I doubt it will be as bad as 'Driven' ..

Now that was a real stinker Ferry!
The only other race film to come out of Hollywood that is worth looking at (IMHO) is Paul Newman's 'Winning', very much true to the American racing scene in the late 1970s.

I first met 'Der Niklaus' in 1982 (I think) at one of our Formula 'Ralt' Australian Grands Prix and again at a Lauda Air function in 1995, he did have very fetching series of young ladies with him at the Albert Park events for a few years, but in 1982 he was far more concerned with returning to F1 with McLaren.
Of course, Hunt was more interested in one night stands than relationships ................................ :icon_eek:
