Acceleration and COP-30 rcbco Carrier Landing

Love the carrier landings! Have a question if anyone can answer though. Acceleration works like a top. I use the COP30 for the WW11 war birds i.e. F4U Corsair. Some times, I believe after a CTD for whatever reason or best I can figure using the ADE program and connecting the FSX to it to slew around and add scenery to an airport, the trap system with the rcbco system fails to function, not the launch feature just the tail hook. I get it back though I don't know how. I reboot the computer, restart FSX and right click the second button from the left on the bar to, from what I gather is supposed to set the program to trap anywhere without using set coordinates to get it to work again. It usually takes me a couple of tries. I get it back but was wondering the cause of the failure and what I'm doing to get it back. Something to do with the FSUIPC? The system doesn't have a way to indicate that you are in the universal trap mode as far as I can tell. It's not a problem only happens once in a while and just seems to need to be reset in some way.

You're in 'Universal' mode if that little window is green. If it's red, you're using zones. To go from one mode to the other, right-click on the window.

That would make sense, thanks. What do you think might trip it to not work like I described like after a ctd I believe is when it occurs and getting it reset. I get it to work again I just don't know how I do it.

I'm inclined to suggest that you reload the aircraft after you're done slewing. That should stop the CTDs, at least.

CTD's and Slewing

I'm not sure what you mean. Are you talking about when being connected with the ADE? I don't get many CTD's with FSX unless I am making bold test on aircraft or scenery addons FSX appears to be a whole lot stronger then FS9. I did, for the first time get a runtime error followed by a ctd this morning but I was changing out some afterburner effects with The Alpha f-8 Corsair. I think the COP rcbco sonic boom effect might play a part in the CTD's and runtime errors as well. Not for sure but over the years I have studied patterns with both FSX and FS9. I know textures can get you as well. Thanks for the info. I am always searching for ways to avoid CTD's and runtime errors.
