I just built my computer and everything is installed and running "ay-okay" but I am strunngling to find Nick N's tweaks that I think wee post on AVSIM's ( I could be wrong)

Honestly, before you try any guide, all I would do is add the highmemfix=1 under the GRAPHICS section of your cfg and adjust video settings to how you want in inspector (or AMD catalyst). Nick N still has decent recommended settings for inspector (nvidia).

Thanks, i changed TEXTURE_BANDWITH to 4096 and its laggy, ill will change that back to defualt as i dont see much imporvement

Each PC is different and not everything works for everyone. After having tried all of them I personally always come back to Nick's guide. I like that he has a global approach to the whole of your system being setup sensibly without useless cr@p and then focus on FSX tweaking. The best one is what works best for your system.

He is working on an updated guide probably for more current systems. Mine is old so the above suits me.

This and the Nvidia Inspector settings recommended by PMDG are the only changes I've made to my CFG and they work great. Haven't had to mess around with FSX settings for years now.
