I think the only base I was stationed at that hasn't been adequately done for FSX is Pax River. There is a Pax River scenery, but the ramps needed a lot of work, plus the hangars were not good (in my opinion). NC

Jim D. Did some hangars foe Saufley Field (another of my duty stations) that were excellent!

One of my favourite FSX hangouts in the US too.

Here's what I did:

Downloaded the MAIW Patuxent River. Yes, intended for FS9, but as you say, no other dedicated scenery pack for it.

I tossed out some of the bits that caused me FPS issues. Can't recall what I tossed out-was a year to two back, but here's what my scenery folder looks like now, after the deletions:

Note, I don't use the MAIW landclass folder contet, I find (so far) it doesn't seem to be needed in FSX - I've just not activated that folder at all in my addon scenery.

Works like a charm. Great FPS, and if you convert the traffic bgls into FSX, and/or add other traffic from a preferred time period, you have a pretty well rendered scenery in FSX.

Awesome info chaps! At the risk of sounding ignorant NC, could you tell me if theres a arresting gear setup at Pax River in the real world?
