Golden Age Simulations Stinson SR-8 Reliant

electrics

anyone else having a problem with having all the electrics go dead after fliying for a while? Had it twice now in the 8E. the a/c cfg says electrics always on. If u reload the a/c then there on again for a while.

Flew all around and never had the electric die. Make sure you have the gen switch on.

Noticed two minor things for the update list.

The icons in the glove box are upside down.
some of the gauges and the top of the pilots door, can be seen through at the very edges.

Overall very nice to fly, did a few t&g's. Does not seem to want to stay on the ground on landing will need some more practice to get the bouncing under control.

Thanks for the discount.

Dave

Often these sort of issues relate to your default flight. Does your default flight use an FsX default aircraft?

We'll look at those issues and if required issue an update if appropriate to do so

Be sure to have the generator switch on. Otherwise you're running off the battery. Always best to have the Cessna 172 as the default flight in FSX. It assures that the config file loads correctly, at least that has been our experience.

Oops must have been  when looking around the cockpit :redf:.

My apologies for missing those in beta testing. Will now give myself a smack on the wrist and go to the naughty corner :censored:.

8 other folks have been looking over the model in testing and missed it as well. So don't feel bad about that

SR-8 Patch

The enclosed installer will patch the issues raised with bleed through and the orientation of the SimCons.

http://goldenagesimulations.com/GAS/SR8_patch.zip

Any purchases after the time of this posting will not require the patch. Additionally I believe that the Payloadz links for those that purchased over that past day may still be active and a fresh updated installer may be obtained there as well. Sorry for the oversight and thanks to Dave, who caught them.

I admit that I looked inside the glove box to check the icons were there...but did not see that they were inverted

however - I cant believe I missed the big gap in the glazing and in the pilot side window frame...I was looking for issues like that and saw none in my copy of the beta file
...possible - but not likely

I had already uninstalled it in favor of the final release copy when I saw the gaps - but I still have the file
maybe if I get ambitious I'll reload it and double check meself....

I think it's all good now. Anyway no harm done and I see a big advantage to doing this on the forum. Many eyes are better than few and this bunch has always been most helpful and courteous to us when making constructive observations.

Thank you for the patch.

How could one access the payloadz link? I would like to have a complete updated installer.

You should have received an e-mail at time of purchase with the link to download the product. If you download the model from that you will have the updated version.
