Painters, I need some help on Warwicks T-6!!!

Marvin Carter

Charter Member 2015
Guys I need some help on Warwicks T-6 there is a patch on the side of fuselage that covers some logos, and I'm not sure what DDS it is on. I thinks it's on the alpha on main texture but do not know any help please!!!

Likely suspects are Alpha, Spec, or Spec/Alpha. It could also be from the Bump mappings. (Shrug) Check all in DXTBMP to see. My guess is it's the Spec/Alpha
Nice work on the paint!

Otherwise, I would've tried to find what lookin' for?

Just 2 quickies.....These will give you an idea how to find those pesky missing panels.

Marvin, the repaint is looking excellent!

I've been slowly working on some repaints myself for that model. That particular section you are mentioning is on the "TEXAN_T" sheet. Attached to this post is a wireframe I made for that sheet, with the particular rectangle section you call out, circled for you. Simply overlay it to see where it lies.

Sweet! Nicely done John.....

Hopefully that wireframe is accurate enough - it may need to be shifted up a pixel-height. If you look at the left-side wireframe of the fuselage, you can see the rectangular 'hole' where that patch comes from (this because it represents the access panel for the fire extinguisher stowed in the aft cockpit).

Here's the first one of mine I'm trying to get finished for the Wozza Texan, though at this time it is still a very severe work in progress with a lot of polishing up to do. This repaint depicts Nathan Davis' restored AT-6D, which he had painted to match the P-51D "Checkertail Clan" that he owned, and is meant to represent a 'squadron hack' type aircraft. The base paint on this aircraft is a light cream color, rather than silver.

BTW, Marvin, I love what you are doing with the cockpit textures on that repaint of yours as well!
