FAB - Brazilian Air Force 1941

SOH-CM-2025
For some light relief from all that "gardening"

Pepe's Boeing P12 with a new paint job, model tweaked to allow use of Wolfis pilot, kelti style exhaust & propeller, & a dp to allow 2 x 100lb bombs

Another one, Oldwheat's A-27 re-invented as a NA72 (NA44) Harvard. Tweaked model, new paint, Kelti style prop & exhaust effect.

Description: AB NA72 Harvard by UncleTgt

This is a reworking of Oldwheat's A27 Harvard for CFS 2. It's meant to represent an NA72(NA44) Harvard advanced trainer of the newly formed Brazilian Air Force in 1941.

It's a combination of Oldwheat's A-27 & Warwick Carter's Harvard model & air files, & I tweaked the model so the untextured parts were the correct shading & added a kelti style prop transparency & exhaust effect, as well as the striking repaint.

All I've done is to build on the original hard work done by Wozza, Oldwheat & others. The real credit goes to these people.

To install, unzip the download and place your chosen files in the relevant aircraft model folders within the aircraft folder in your CFS2 Main Directory.

Thanks to
Warwick Carter for the original a/c
Oldwheat for his reworking to fill an unusual gap in early WW2.
This is freeware and subject to the usual conditions.

It flies very nicely in FS9... however the pilot does not show... Is there any way to make it show? I see a texture for it but
the plane shows unoccupied...
If there is a way (through the aircraft.config or other) please let me know...

Hi Gaucho,

Sorry for the delay in responding, but here in the UK even I have to sleep sometimes :p:

The NA72 was based on Oldwheat's A27 Harvard, itself based on Warwick Carter's T6 Texan for FS2004. As such the model is optimised for CFS 2, &that means the pilot has been removed from the model & replaced by Martin Wright's RAF pilot & rear gunner as payloads in the dp file.

You could get hold of an FS2004 Wozzas T6 Texan a/c, I suspect the textures will fit OK (you may want to save as dxt3 & use the alpha channel for extra shine effects), all you will lose is the tail gunner & gun tubes.

Hope this helps

Thanks a lot for the info...

Pretty soon I am going to be in your time zone... an hour earlier I think... my wife just left day before yesterday and I will follow sometime in July...
(we are going to be.. well she... stationed in Schweinfurt, Germany... and I will use Space-A to MIldenhall often to visit England)
Now, educate me... this means the textures of the pilot and gunner are called by the dp file in CFS2... BUT FS9 does not respond to that... I am assuming...
is there any modification possible to add a pilot and gunner... maybe different ones ? And, those CFS2 models that fly OK in FS9 and keep the pilot... it is
because they are part of the model? I really want to become conversant with all these technicalities... for I am basically an artist with little technical expertise...
Any help and lessons much appreciated..

Another little question...

I cannot understand what happens here...
The textures for both sides are basically the same mirrored textures.... why the one on the starboard side is yellow inside and
the other appears with the internal part colored and textured in the darker color?
