Saitek X52 Pro set-up?

Bought a Saitek X52 Pro to replace my malfunctioning Thrustmaster. Overall, a very nice upgrade. I've initially set it up using the FSX contols menu, but it limits full functionality as some knobs/buttons and the small thumb slider on the throttle doesn't work. I was wondering if anyone uses Saitek's software to control all the different functions on the stick, and how to set it up for FSX?

Which buttons/knobs/sliders don't work? All the knobs (continuous twisting) should show up as an axis without programming. All the buttons should show up as buttons. However, there are some sliders that switch from one position to another. These do require programming. They are meant to act as a sort of shift/ctrl keys which can be done with their software.

If you have FSUIPC this is even easier.

I used the software to assign buttons as i used the three modes for the different aircraft weapons releases... But now im on the thrustmaster Warthog...

The two rotating thumb knobs on the throttle quadrant (one on the front and one on the top), the thumb slider on the throttle quadrant, the button with an "i" in the middle on the throttle quadrant (in the middle of the front rotating knob), and the two small buttons on the front right of the throttle quadrant (with a mouse symbol in between them). Also, the index finger trigger on the stick.

To clarify, they work when testing on the control panel, but I can't seem to use them in FSX controls menu.

I have assigned the slider to the spoilers/airbrakes in FSX settings and have programmed the buttons with the Saitek Profile Editor.

As the X-52 has a shed load of axis i assigned these in FSX, however i assigned keypresses in FSX and then keyed in those key presses into saitek software...

Thanks - that helped. I was able to set the slider for the spoilers, and the two thumb rotating knobs for prop and mixture control.
