Fw190 JG2 Skin

Does anybody know if there's a JG2 (Richthofen) skin for either the Flight 1 or Akemi's Fw190? It has the "eagle's head" silhouette on the side.

That's the skin I'm talking about, the plane in your screen shot is by JRLuciarny. Although it's a very nice model, I get another 20 fps with the Akemi and Flight 1 models. (JRL gets approx. 30 fps opposed to about 50 fps for the other two on my rig.)

If you send me the texture files for the fuselage and wings, etc. (from the Akemi model) I can make you that livery from scratch...
Check my work on my thread on 2D panels in the 2004 threads... they speak for themselves...
and I am always happy to help others...

There is a 9th Staffel/JG 2 skin available for Akemie's Anoton as stationed at Vannes, France in late 1943

I've got it in my library and the screen shot looks like it came directly from Akemi's site. If you can't find it, send me a PM.

NOPE ! This is an Akemi A-5 upgrade project I did including the new skin. Nothing to do with a Luciarny model.

Furthermore, Captain Kurt et al have updated several of Akemi's Fw190s and have included new skins and modified dp and air files, all may be found in the CFS2 German aircraft section here at the outhouse. The frame rates for this plane are excellent and the skins even more so.

Well, actually that isn't quite correct. If you recall Team Daedelus {which is Oglivie, Paul Straney and myself} released an upgrade Akemi Fw190A-8 package a few months back. We have a whole host of Fw190A and F marks finished with corrected / added details, but so far Akemi is not responding to our emails asking his OK to post them. Each has a brand new set of weapons which Paul is still adding to. and each has new dp, air file, panel and 3 to 4 new skin choices.

We have upgrades for the following:

Fw190A-5
Fw190A-5 Jabo / Fw190F-2
Fw190A-6
Fw190A-7
Fw190A-7/R2
Fw190A-8 (released)
Fw190A-8/R8 Sturmmjager - armored canopy and cockpit sides
Fw190F-8 early standard canopy
Fw190F-8 blown canopy
Fw-190F-8 with gear doors removed for winter
Fw-190A-9 blown canopy

You guys should change your name to Focke-Wulf Flugzeug Werks! It's good to see Paul Straney is still in the game, I use his Bf110C-3 in my Euro install. Any chance we could convince him to cobble together a Bf110G-2?
