Sibwings An-2 is released

Browsing around I found some very interesting paint schemes, like this private one:

http://www.airliners.net/photo/Anto...24285/L/&sid=4dde395313f1855b74abd961b16a2e96

This is a classic livery:

Ukrainian Navy:

And a simple paint but a personal request, as I've been inside this one a couple of times:

http://www.airliners.net/photo/Anto...61174/L/&sid=48b4849266bf5d2a5934909844e3be9b

(Star and serial only on left side of fuselage.)

But of course I'll be downloading whatever you painters decide to do!

That last one looks like it should have a garden gnome in the pilots seat :)

I am extremely IMPRESSED. :applause::applause::applause::applause::applause:

I've had no issues with the An-2 and have been flying it over and over again, making sure I know where all the switches are, etc., and just enjoying it immensely.

This morning I discovered that the updater had an issue, and posted my problem on their forum. Within minutes I got this response:
Hello,
Thank for feedback, I'll send you updater with logging function, it's seems like updater can't find FSX directory from registery.
I'll contact with you later.

I mean, like WOW. Quick response, update on the way, and all the potential repaints.

Some ideas for the repainters :mixedsmi: Croatian anuskas really have a history of their own...from crop dusting and civil liveries to bombing missions with home made makeshift bombs and striking camouflage suits during the war....and it`s not just because I am from croatia

I had heard of the the North Korean AN-2 in a 'previous life' or wouldn't have been remotely interested. Decided to give it a try. What a fascinating model Sibwings team has created. Just saw a You Tube video of its startup procedure. Need some time to devote to this beastie! :applause:

I could not resist this one. Downloading now.

There is one at Tatoi, my home field owned by a Greek shipping and media magnate. They let it out once in a while and fly it around. I might paint this:

I was looking forward to this model and going by the screenshots, Sibwings has exceeded every expectation. But I know that after a couple of flights, this fine Colt will be consigned to my digital Davis-Monthan, to join all the other 'next big things'.

Thats the way it is for me these days. Sibwings, its not you...its me. All the best. :)

Now this is one of those planes where the phrase "flying the engine" came from.Today it seems that "flying the FMC" is popular but I never got much satisfaction from letting a computer do the flying.
BTW- Of the 2 great vids above the second one is where the An2 seems more at home. Not a hanger queen spit shined taken out a few times a year.

For those like me that the updater was not working, a new version of the installer is online that fix this. Just reinstall the plane above the previous instalation and the installer will do the rest :salute:
