There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.
If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.
Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

You are quite right, thank you for that, I had wondered why there was sometimes a circle in the side of the fuselage.
Also, the author's texture files are huge, 16 mb each.
They can be reduced down to the 4 mb each that the others are
by opening them in Paint.net and then saving them as .dds files.
Or, using DXT-Bmp.....
He has saved them as DDS 888-8 32 bit, saving them as DDS DXT5 will bring them down to 5.33 mb each.
I can see no difference in the displayed textures.

I also noted that the alpha on 01 may also need to be flipped. It's not noticeable on the model, but it appears that the exhaust streak is not where it should be.

I didn't paint the GDR skins. I don't have 0.001% of the talent necessary for such creations! I just saw them on Flightsim and posted the heads-up here. The author should be able to answer your question definitively, however I believe that skins without mipmaps (nomip in this case) generally provide marginally less detail but faster loading times, whereas skins with mipmaps provide more detail but slower loading times (at least on some systems). I'm sure someone with far better knowledge on the subject will correct me!
