AI Sound Question...

I'm trying to enhance the sounds of some of my AI aircraft. I'd appreciate some help.

Here's what I'm trying to do. I want to alias the ai sound to the aircraft's sound folder.

I've made a folder named: SoundAi. I then placed a blank sound config file in there. My question is what should the syntax be for that file. I placed the folder in the Aircraft folder like I've noticed in some other aircraft.

I think it should look something like this: alias.....\xxxx\zzzz\soundai

I would really like to hear my AI huey, for example, flying around sounding kinda like a huey.

Thanks.

Found a solution that works for me.

Well, while I was waiting on someone to answer my question, I :running:"stumbled" upon a solution that works good enough for me. If anybody is interested, this is what I did....I aliased the aisound folder in the aircraft folder to Ant's T-28 sound. I don't have a clue :isadizzy:as to why a radial engine now sounds similar to a jet helicopter but, it does. Basically, I get a fairly decent sound of the rotor blades slapping around. Gotta love the AI engine in FSX.:icon_lol:

FSX allows this to an extent, I have added the "soundai" folder with .cfg alias to say, the default B737 to all my WOAI tubeliner packages. I assume you should be able to alias a AI helo's .cfg to the stock B206 soundai file. I've yet to do this as all my AI helos sound like turboprops, I'll do some testing.

I also downloaded A.Constable's AI sound files, adds more realistic and LOUDer sounds.

I'll look for the AI sound file you noted above. Also look for a p.m. from me.
