Anyone Using LEAPMOTION?

I can't see a reasonable practical use for flight controls, but it might make flipping vc switches more realistic... nice find.

I also think this could be amazing! I'd love to hear from someone who has used it for dials and switches in FS first though...

Didn't even see that....I swear I need a vacation....this is the 3rd time this week I've basically asked/posted something that was known/available....grrr....burnout fast approaching...:icon_eek: LOL. Thanks TuFun for posting. I think my father in law is going to buy this. I 'll have to get him to install FSX on his computer just to test it out and see how well it works. I really hope it does work with FSX. This would be great for use with trim wheels and trim knobs! although I'm not sure that FSX will accept it without some other application running via simconnect...unless each gesture acted like it's own axis? Still many possibilities.

Combined with this: http://www.oculusvr.com/ would be a killer combination!

The Second thread is much more hopeful than the first. Although both are actually positive. Sounds like it will actually be something that might be worth it...I may may get it regardless of whether it works with FSX.

The second thread seemed to contradict the first one. Confusing to me.... NC

yeah I think the first one was saying that it "will" work. But sounds like he was under the impression that they weren't going out of the way to accomodate FSX.

This could be quite exciting for cockpit builders . When we first saw those interactive action type games ( struggling for the words here ) ..you know , if you jump around the living room and watch it being replicateds on screen whilst playing a game - that idea . The first thing that came into my mind was doing a cockpit with that technology .

A dummy switch panel on boxes left and right of you - fighter style - syncronised to your screen . Simple , no wires or other programmes required ( maybe ) . Awesome !!

Interesting find. Though I think that this is hard to getting used to without a visual feedback on the screen (e.g. a 3D cursor or hand that gives you a visual xyz feedback). I think it could be extremely useful when you have one of these Oculus screen headsets or others where you have limited or no sight on your keyboard or controls.

Cheers,
Mark
