Years ago I met Col. Tibbets. We only spoke for a minute or two. He appeared to me to be a man who was comfortable in his own skin. He spoke confidently and direct. While I can't put words in Col. Tibbets mouth to me he seemed to be saying 'I was given my mission and I flew it to the best of my abilities.' Nasty business, wars.
