BIG Star Trek USS Enterprise models

This QMX model of the 2009 reboot Enterprise costs between 7 and 9 thousand dollars, and according to the YouTube poster, takes 1000 man-hours to build. A bit out of my price range, and my cats would have it in a thousand pieces inside a week. The poster ordered it in the Fall of 2010 and it arrived in Spring 2013.


I've honestly never met a USS Enterprise I didn't like, but this one may be my favorite. I'm actually more impressed with this model than the above reboot ship, because it's all scratch built. It took the poster a year to make.

I'd would love to have one of these - an Aries-1b from "2001: A Space Odyssey", my all-time favourite movie...

This is a 6" diameter version (resin) by Atomic City, and I think another firm does one that's available through Starship Modeller for $100US or so. Atomic City also produces a 15" diameter Aries, but I don't think I have the space (excuse the pun) for it and the price is a bit dear for my budget...
