Travis AFB Mass takeoff

there was a mass takeoff yesterday 9-11-2013 at Travis AFB Cal,the haze you see is not smog,or just bay area/valley haze..its smoke from a fire on Mount Diablo in the east Bay,this was to be a tribute to the 9/11 victims and heroes,as well as a show of force/capability.

22 airlifters in 36 minutes,isnt a very good video of it..but best i could find so far..on the news last night,they had C-17s,DC-10s and C-5s lined up.

Thanks for posting Dave. :salute: I was unable to go to Travis that day so I missed it unfortunately.
 
Very cool. Neat picture also of the KC-10s marching to takeoff and their airliner style climb out.

And the McDonnell Douglas Long Beach plant deliveried the final USAF C-17 this past week. Big event for the employees there. Still have foreign orders to fill but the line is winding down.
