agreed - these biplanes are a ton of fun and as usual for GAS, do not impact frame rates at all - smooth sailing

Great stuff guys:icon_eek: This one is on my 'get' list. With Steve Parson's DX10 fixer I was able to reunite with my beloved old Waco ASO...looking for this Great Lakes series really fill my FSX native vintage biplane fix.

Cheers

yes these are a most welcome addition to my biplane fleet - and along with the pack come Phenick Field - with a scenery manager so you can select various details and features if you like...

I opted for the full monty and it runs very smoothly in high detail, with animations and the fine, low cut grass as you see attached below...

while I was rolling to the active, a GL trainer taxied out of the hangar and took off as I banked around for a T&G

I've settled on a favorite GL - for now...

Thanks to GAS for letting me be part of the beta test team -

flying early morning from CEN4 High River to CEJ4 Claresholm Industrial...a nice, short VFR flight to make - and in FTX and the GAS Great Lakes it can be done in style, in any weather with no FPS hit at all...

just plane fun

Roger, I love the Great Lakes. They harken back to before the War when airplanes had props and wings instead of these computerized oil burners of today. But what I really wanted to know is how did you get those cloud formations in FSX? They are beautiful.

Thanks Helldiver!
I downloaded a freeware package of clouds some years ago and unfortunately I can't remember where they came from. I'm not using an add-on weather program like FEX or REX, just FsX with those add-on clouds. If I can remember where they came from I'll let you know.

The beta testing has been completed and it is our intent to, as we have done in the past, do an exclusive discounted pre-release to the SOH community over this weekend. Thanks to all the beta testers and for the kind words received so far.

Perhaps those clouds are the HDE v2 Sky textures from Pablo Diaz. http://flyawaysimulation.com/downloads/files/18029/fsx-hde-sky-textures-v20/

Excellent snaps and a fine looking aircraft, I should mention.

Cheers,
Fritz
