A6M7 Zero Project Uploaded

Hello All,

I just uploaded an A6M7 Zero scasmed from Allen's A6M5c model and permission from Allen for upload. A6M7 has three liveries that are reworks of UncleTgt's A6M5c paints and uploaded via permission from him. The liveries include 210th and 302nd Kokutais that were based at Meiji and Atsugi in 1945.

Enjoy!

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Aircraft - Japanese

Description: I'm just a scasm editor and not an original designer and painter so thanks very much to Allen, UncleTgt, Thicko, Wolfi and Metal Dreams for allowing me to tinker with their excellent work and put together this A6M7 project for everyone! All files needed are contained in the download and the model is Multi-LOD and has breaking parts. Download includes 250kg bomb, 10kg rockets and 150 liter drop tanks.

To check it out, rate it or add comments, visit CFS2_A6M7_ZERO.zip
The comments you make there will appear in the posts below.

Miami, Rami and Misson,

You're Very Welcome!

Misson,

Thank You! Last summer was very busy for me leaving little time for anything else. I have about 4 or 5 projects, plus additional Fw190s with Team Daedalus, that are in the works. Some projects I started I put aside for awhile to complete the A6M7. I speculate I'll have more time for our hobby over this winter and finish up the projects I've started before summer activities arrive again. Winters are like a vacation for me, and I have more time for the CFS2 hobbies.

My Best Regards,

Gary (O)

Hmmm...I somewhat threw the rockets on the A6M7. After looking more closely at the (real) Model-1 rocket I discovered it had two rail mounts on the rocket that are 180 degrees opposed. This seems to indicate each rocket may have had two launch rails and that they are attached to the eight underwing pylons. Any one have any info about the 10kg rocket rails or attachments? I'll do more searching to see what I can find. For sake of accuracy I could throw together some updates for the rocket mountings later.

A roughed in idea how they may suppose to be:

Fantastic! I´m glad you have more projects! We are waiting them! Thank you!

Thanks for everyone's interest and compliments.

I was looking at the aircraft DP and I discovered an error in the gunstation.4 L/R angle. With so much to look over before uploading the complete aircraft I had inadvertently missed this error.

gunstation.4=0,48,1,0.08,790,2,0.02,500,3,40,1d1*15,2.329,-0.16,1.198,-0.2,0,0.36,0,0,0,0,1.83

0.36 should be -0.36

I attached an updated aircraft DP here for it.

One more...

Here's another one (that got away from me), the DP for the rocket.

I had the dice set quite high I think for a small 10kg rocket and the weapon type was set at 8 (a time fused airburst rocket), of which this rocket was not suppose to be a time fuse weapon.

I attached an updated DP for the OBJECTS_DP folder if you want.

C'mon man!...REALLY??? Not even a thank you first?!? And is a breaking engine really something to go back to the workshop for? Just shoot it down and move on... :banghead:

Right you are! I downloaded it on Friday and neglected that little detail. So, Oglivie and team....my thanks for your great work. Nothing to do this rainy Sunday but try out this latest fine AC.

Max,

It's just like you to complain and want someone to do more. You are never satisfied no matter what. Time after time you do the same thing. I think it's about time you should just say Thank you and apologize to all you have insulted. People like you are part of the reason some of the people that work on CFS2 stop their work. I hope someday you learn to show them the Proper Respect they deserve.

Oglivie,

Good work and Thank you
