• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Even though I don't fly online, I voted Yes.
I couldn't vote "No" and possibly make myself the "Grinch who stole Christmas" by enticing Admin to take it away from a freind that does use the online functions...Don

Hi,

The computer says I've already voted in the poll!
This is yet one more reason for me not going internet flying with others; as well as the embarrassment of crashing, is crashing at the wrong airfield.

That was a very good result from Ickie's researches into costs :jump::birthday:

Andy.

But lemonadedrinker we would not suspend you. :biggrin-new:

All kidding aside the mishaps that go on make it enjoyable. The other day I asked tako_kichi if he was doing his imitation of a lawn dart because he made a humongous bounce on landing. He replied but I greased it on the second time.

One of my goals this year is to start flying online . I'm ashamed to say I've never tried it yet since I've been in Flight Sims . I'm sure I'll make share of mistakes starting out but it sounds like a heck of a lot of fun .

:wavey: Rich, nothing to be alarmed over; you are among the majority :)

I have been flying online since 1999 and for years nightly with a group of friends. It is great fun and the group experience helps with the learning process.

We flew around the world many times exploring every continent, mountain ranges, challenging airports, heavy weather, all kinds of aircraft, watercraft, and generally learned about cultures and key areas of interest of each country we passed through.

There are several small groups that fly almost nightly now. You can generally hook up with them here or on Teamspeak.

If you need some assistance getting hooked up, just say the word and we will have you flying online in no time. :wiggle:
