I'm new to the forum but have flown CFS2 over the years and getting back into it again. It seems the game has come along way since I last flew it.

I would like some suggestions for missions in the Pacific,CBI and PNG.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Look for Pacific missions by Talon he has great in depth knowledge of the history and makes great missions. Welcome back.

I am in the process of doing Guadalcanal missions flown from Aug 20 to Oct 11 1942. See the Cactus Mission post here.

Hey TheBookie,

Welcome to the basement. Make yourself at home.

I would start small. There have been tons of new addons. Just in the last year or so alone.

If I may suggest, I'd start with all of the OH aircraft by the B24 Guy. Seeing how your staying in the PTO (Pacific Theater of Operation). You can replace all of the stock ACs with these. You will be glad you did.

I could suggest more but I think for now I'll leave it at that. Many the new campaignes will get you hunting for more goodies then you'll know what to do with.

Yell if you need anything.

Till Later,
John

I like the 1% or OH A/C for myself as the player aircraft but I stay with stock A/C as AI when I can building missions. The new scenery, aircraft and infrastructure objects make CFS2 a lot more fun and gives a person a little more of a feel of being there.

Blood_Hawk23,

I've played CFS2 for many years ( up till 2010 ).I still have alot of things on CDs and DVDs for it including some old CFS2 installs. Most of the things I need for the campaigns I downloaded I already had. It's just some of the newer things I have to get.

Bob,

I have the OH planes but don't really like the 1% planes.I think the newer planes are much better.Basically I like to fly the FDG Donationware planes but everyone has theri own preference.

The reason I like the 1% aircraft is that they come closer to handling like the real aircraft handled. The F4F was a solid AC in the air and if flown well a solid gun platform. For some reason the stock and most of the nonstock AC want to stall to soon in a turn or stall to soon when you are trying to do a loop.

The people that did the 1% AC did there home work before putting it all together.

In the missions you can change the player AC to what ever you want. I don`t recommend changing the other AC but I am building this missions so that you as a player will have fun and even get a good work out LOL.

Glad to have you with us and have fun.

I'm really enjoying the Marianas and Leyte Campaigns.

I will get to Pearl Harbor soon.I may do the USMC Aces next.
