I have the movie "Windtalkers" starring Nicolas Cage on tape, about the Pacific War Navajo Code Talkers.
It's one of my favourite war movies of all times and it's pretty moving. I knew about the Navajos' involvement in WWII but not in depth, Cage's movie increased my knowledge.
It seems that WWII wasn't the frist time Native Americans were used for Radio code talking. They were used in WWI as well. Not to the same extent mind you.
I'd call them Indians but I'd probably confuse people. My wife is part Pawnee so either way I say it with the up most respect.
