Been watching this one. Not more than a few days will go by that I don't check his site to see if it's complete. Awesome little jet for scoot'n around the sky in. Mr. Richardson does great work......and all for free!!!!! I salute him!!!!! :ernaehrung004:
 
Are the yoke handles really that slim?

I know that Embraer uses a similar configuration, but their handles appear to be more "grabbable".

A few Hawker Siddely products had those, among other British birds (eg: Concorde).

Yeah, I agree they look a bit thin versus the pics I've seen - though I dont' know if there was a variance between the early model Rob's modeling and the later ones, where the abundance of cockpit photos lie ...

The horizontal rows of ribbing near the top of the column look too tightly stacked - but hey, now we're really nitpicking ..


I'm very stoked about this plane ... looking great, Rob!

Rob,
Not really rivet counting but, can you please look at changing your fonts for the gauges please, I don't remember seeing what to me looks like Courier used on real gauges. Can be difficult to find what is used, but I think Arial is the nearest for most characters.

If Arial 'looks closest' then the real font would almost certainly be Gill Sans for a british company like de Havilland. For any other country Helvetica might be likely.

Just to keep you happy Keith, and because your older than me, I'll repaint a couple of gauges.
As it has not been released yet how on earth you can possible know what font will be used sounds like "Black Magic" to me!

I'm picking no nits, nor enumerating rivets: that's a lovely model of a classic jet and the windshield-to-fuselage transitions look about right to me too. Kudos, Rob! :applause: :applause: :applause:

Indeed - and an even harder set of curves to resolve is that subtle, but perceptible "DH" bulbous cockpit-fuselage transition ...

... reminiscent of past DH designs (Dove, Heron). Here, Rob's nailed it 10/10, in my view. Well done, Rob!

Rob, Thank you very much.
I have an idea that the current gauges have something like courier because Noddy posted some screenshots above that are very clear! Not only that but most of your previous work used it too. I must admit though that I dont know how you create your gauges - (C++?) 'cos the panel.cfg just calls up the fa-18.dll gauge.
I do like your modelling though, just wish my artistic capability would come up to your standard.
