Rob Richardson's DH.125 Jet Dragon - released

Last time I was at Kemble (2012) they were all parked upon the far side of the airfield.I was told they had been sold to someone in North America.

Regards Paul Day.

OK, have just uploaded Dominie T1 paint XS730 to FlightSim.com. Should be available tomorrow.

Ghana Air Force Presidential aircraft. Used by President Kwame Nkrumah and usually flown by his personal pilot Hanna Reitsch, ex-WW2 German test pilot.

Hi Rob..

Just downloaded the both versions of the plane.. Although i am partial to the P3D version I must admit you did a great job on them both.. Thank you for a wonderful gift.. :)

As the FIFA Soccer World Cup is in progress in Brazil (and it looks like a good chance Brazil will win it!) I thought I had better produce a Brazilian Air Force paint for the DH125.

I have done more than a dozen flights since it was released and it's awesome!

I'm also loving the beautiful repaints. I've done several primitive repaints for other aircraft so I know that the quality repaints require a lot of work. I'm hoping more repaints are coming for this aircraft.

H/U: There seems to be an updated version of the DH.125 on Robert's site. The only difference, however, seems to be a changed [Lights] section in the aircraft.cfg.

I'd also love to know the differences between the 1A and 1B model. MCX shows a slightly different vertex count between them, but I fail to spot any visual difference...

Hi all.
I worked on the Dominie's at RAF Finningley for six years and the upper and lower wing surfaces were always bare aluminium. They were never painted.

Modified [lights] section using the regular vc_light, making the switches toggle the correct lights and adding strobes:

[LIGHTS]
//Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit
light.1=1, -24.076, 0.00000, 9.486, fx_beacon
light.2=4, 13.780, 0.00000, 0.70, fx_vclight
light.3=1, -1.026, 0.00000, -4.429, fx_beacon
light.4=3, -5.30, -23.40000, -2.20, fx_navred
light.5=3, -5.30, 23.40000, -2.20, fx_navgre
light.6=2, -5.70, -23.40000, -2.20, fx_strobe
light.7=2, -5.70, 23.40000, -2.20, fx_strobe

Guys, the note on Rob's page only indicates that he switched to FSXSE and will not support older versions. The differences between FSXSE and FSXMS are marginal anyway, so why on earth shouldn't an add-on made for FSXSE run in FSXMS*?

*Save certain ones coming with older autoinstallers or ones doing strict FSX version checking via Simconnect or FSUIPC. Neither of which any of Rob's aircraft do.

Anyway, here's an updated [lights] section. The cockpit flood light is now controlled by the previously unused logo light switch, so when using the panel light switch, you will only get backlighted gauges and cabin lighting.

[LIGHTS]
//Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit 5=Landing 6=Taxi 7=Recognition 8=Wing 9=Logo 10=Cabin
light.1=1, -24.076, 0.00000, 9.486, fx_beacon
light.2=9, 13.780, 0.00000, 1.20, fx_vclight
light.3=1, -1.026, 0.00000, -4.429, fx_beacon
light.4=3, -5.30, -23.40000, -2.20, fx_navred
light.5=3, -5.30, 23.40000, -2.20, fx_navgre
light.6=2, -5.70, -23.40000, -2.20, fx_strobe
light.7=2, -5.70, 23.40000, -2.20, fx_strobe
light.8=4, 5.00, 0.00000, 1.20, fx_vclight
light.9=4, -4.00, 0.00000, 1.20, fx_vclight
light.10=4, 0.00, 0.00000, 1.20, fx_vclight

- Edit:

I've tried to fix the small bugs regarding the fuel pump and generator switches with ModelConverterX, but if I export the model, I get properly working switches at the cost of non-working custom ones (autopilot, etc...). *Sigh*

In case Rob (still) reads along:

- The left generator switch should be tagged with the switch_generator1 animation, the right switch with switch_generator0. At the moment, it's tagged with switch_generator, which is always for engine 1
- The bottom left fuel pump switch should be switch_fuel_pump1 or switch_boost_pump1, bottom right switch_fuel_pump0 or switch_boost_pump0. At the moment: switch_fuel_pump.
- The right deice switch should be tagged with whatever mouserect the left deice switch is tagged with.

This should not take more than five minutes in GMax. I'd even pay the Euro equivalent of whatever costs a pint to compensate for the extra work! Or in custom XML code for the next project!

I wish I had the talent or patience to paint lol. I'd love to do a fictional USCG Corpus Christi Station assigned paint. Yum the Brasil AF one looks excellent.
